Below is a link to an ISSUU document, containing all 45 photos taken of every page of the Specimen and User Manual. 

Obviously they will not all be included in final boards, but are a good reference to view every page of each book. 




The original photos used a custom white balance, which took away the cream of the stock. So I overlayed a multiplied yellow over each page to replicate how the pages actually look. I also used a grid to ensure all the photos were positioned and cropped the same way.

After creating all my scamps, here is the process of creating the spreads... 

I began experimenting with different borders options. 

I decreased the point size of each page option, so that they annotations are not distracting from the content. 

Final border design: 

As you can see, an 8 column grid was used, with one column separating from the information.

Defining a distance between dividers

 - Although this method could be a lot more technical, below you can see how I considered the spacing between lines. Two set boxes were used to create the widths above and below the tex.

Coming up with the content - Each side used different translations of the words: 'Cloth' and 'Work'. I came up with a list of words from the original inscription that had ligatures in. Unfortunately there were not enough, so I considered more words that relate to 'Clothworker' that could be used.
